What’s Happening in Bartow County This Weekend: October 9–11, 2026

Fall weekend events in Bartow County, Georgia, October 9–11, 2026, featuring Euharlee, downtown Cartersville and local fall activities.
Festivals, food, live music, shopping and family fun are happening around Bartow County October 9–11.

If you’ve been waiting for one of those weekends where Bartow County gives you an excuse to get out of the house…

This is it. 😂

We’ve got a fall festival in Euharlee, a nighttime sky watch, a car and bike show, and an entire Sunday devoted to eating your way through Downtown Cartersville.

Basically:

Friday = festival.
Saturday = festival again.
Sunday = food.

I support this schedule. 😂

Here are a few things happening around Bartow County this weekend.

🍂 Euharlee Covered Bridge Fall Festival

📍 Osborne Park / Historic Downtown Euharlee
📅 Friday, October 9 | 6–9 PM
📅 Saturday, October 10 | 10 AM–5 PM

This is the BIG one this weekend.

The annual Covered Bridge Fall Festival returns to Euharlee for two days with 75+ vendors, arts and crafts, shopping, festival food, family activities and live entertainment. Friday night’s headliner is Keynote and the Vibes, and local duo Zoe and Edie close out Saturday’s festival. Coosa Valley News

And honestly, if you’ve never been to Euharlee, this is a pretty great excuse to go.

You’ve got the historic covered bridge, fall weather—hopefully Georgia remembers that it’s October—and an entire park full of things to wander through.

Rachel’s pick: If crowds aren’t your favorite thing, I’d be tempted by Friday evening. If you want the full festival experience, Saturday is your day.

🔭 Evening Sky Watch at Tellus Science Museum

📍 Tellus Science Museum, Cartersville
📅 Friday, October 9 | 8–11 PM
🎟️ Members $3 | Non-members $6

Here’s one that’s a little different.

Tellus is opening its Observatory Friday night for an Evening Sky Watch. Possible telescope targets include Saturn, the Andromeda Galaxy and the Great Pegasus Cluster, depending on viewing conditions. The event is suitable for all ages. Tellus Museum in Cartersville, Georgia

One important note: this one is weather dependent, and Tellus recommends advance tickets because capacity is limited. The museum itself will also be closed during the event. Tellus Museum

So theoretically you could do:

Covered Bridge Festival → Tellus → look at Saturn.

That’s a pretty solid Friday night in Bartow County. 😂

🚗 Elevate Autism Car Show & Bike Ride

📍 Old Cartersville Primary School, Cartersville
📅 Saturday, October 10 | 11 AM–3 PM

If cars, Jeeps, lifted trucks, classics, exotics or motorcycles are more your speed, the Elevate Autism Car Show & Bike Ride is happening Saturday.

The event supports autism awareness and adult initiatives, and the show is open to a wide range of vehicles and motorcycles. Vehicle registration begins earlier in the morning, with the public show running from 11–3. Car Cruise Finder

This would also be easy to pair with lunch or a walk around Downtown Cartersville afterward.

🍴 Georgia Tasting Festival

📍 Downtown Cartersville, GA / Founders Park
📅 Sunday, October 11 | 10 AM–4 PM
🎟️ Free admission

Okay.

Come hungry. 😂

The third annual Georgia Tasting Festival takes over Founders Park Sunday with food tastings, live entertainment, vendors, artisans and family-friendly activities.

Admission is free, and individual tasting samples are advertised at $1–$10. There’s also a Community Choice competition where festival-goers vote for their favorite food vendor, with voting running from 10:30 AM–3:30 PM. Eventbrite

This is probably my Sunday pick because you can make an entire afternoon out of it:

Eat.

Walk around downtown.

Shop a little.

Eat again because obviously you didn’t adequately evaluate the first seven vendors.

🤠 BONUS: FREE Family Thursday at Booth

Okay, technically Thursday is not the weekend.

I know how calendars work. 😂

But this is worth mentioning for anybody looking for something to do with the kids before the weekend officially starts.

📍 Booth Western Art Museum
📅 Thursday, October 8 | 4–8 PM
🎟️ FREE

The Booth offers free admission from 4–8 PM on the second Thursday of each month, and this week’s programming also includes a Family Night themed around Animal Corral: Western Trails. Carter’sville Museum City

Since we’ve already talked about what a hidden gem the Booth is, free admission is a pretty good excuse to finally go if you haven’t.

If I Were Planning the Weekend…

Friday: Covered Bridge Festival in Euharlee → Evening Sky Watch at Tellus.

Saturday: Covered Bridge Festival → Car Show → dinner somewhere local.

Sunday: Georgia Tasting Festival → wander Downtown Cartersville → announce that you’re never eating again.

Until approximately 7:30 PM.

😂

A Front Porch Rachel Thought

This is exactly why I keep doing these weekend posts.

It’s easy to live somewhere and still have absolutely no idea what’s happening ten minutes down the road.

And this weekend is a pretty good example of how much there actually is to do around Bartow County.

Euharlee gets its moment.

Cartersville has plenty going on.

We’ve got something for families, food people, car people, festival people and the people who would rather spend Friday night looking at Saturn.

Those are apparently our choices this weekend, and I kind of love that.

😂

If you know about something happening around Bartow County that I missed, drop it in the comments. I’m always looking for more local events, businesses and places to add to my list.

And if you’re new around here, stick around.

I’m Rachel, a local Realtor who spends an unreasonable amount of time finding things to do, places to eat and reasons to love where we live.
