What’s Happening in Bartow County This Weekend: September 18–20, 2026

Downtown Bartow County Georgia streetscape representing local events and things to do during the September 18–20 weekend.
From festivals and live music to outdoor activities and family fun, there’s plenty happening around Bartow County this weekend.

Okay, Bartow County.

Apparently everybody scheduled something for Saturday. 😂

If you’ve been waiting for an excuse to get out of the house, this is your weekend.

We’ve got art, live music, bicycles, bargains, BBQ, a little local history, and even a reason to head toward Euharlee.

So grab the calendar.

Here’s what’s happening around Bartow County this weekend.

🎨 51st Annual Arts Festival at Rose Lawn

📍 Rose Lawn Museum — Cartersville
📅 Saturday, September 19 | 10 AM–6 PM
📅 Sunday, September 20 | Noon–5 PM
💰 Free admission

This is one of the big ones this weekend.

The annual Arts Festival at Rose Lawn brings artists from around the Southeast to the grounds of historic Rose Lawn, with fine art and heritage crafts including painting, sculpture, wood, glass and other handmade pieces. Guided tours of the historic home are also planned during festival hours.

And honestly?

Beautiful historic house + art + September in Georgia when we can finally begin pretending fall is coming?

I’m listening. 😂

🎸 Guardians of the Jukebox — FREE Downtown Concert

📍 Behind the Historic Bartow County Courthouse — Cartersville
📅 Saturday, September 19
⏰ 7–9 PM
💰 FREE

Gen X, I have found our Saturday night. 😂

Guardians of the Jukebox is coming back to Downtown Cartersville for a free concert Saturday evening. This one is being held in the parking lot behind the historic Bartow County Courthouse because of City Hall construction.

And if you’re unfamiliar with them, their entire thing is the glory days of 80s MTV-era pop, rock, new wave and more.

Oh, hell yes.

Go to Rose Lawn during the day, grab dinner downtown and finish with an 80s concert.

I just planned your Saturday.

You’re welcome. 😂

🚴 Beautiful Backroads Century Bicycle Ride

📍 Anheuser-Busch — Cartersville
📅 Saturday, September 19
🚴 Official ride start: 8 AM

The Beautiful Backroads Century celebrates its 26th year this weekend and supports Hickory Log Personal Care Home.

Cyclists can choose routes ranging from 14 miles all the way up to 100 miles, winding through the foothills of the North Georgia mountains. The event also includes food trucks, music, a vendor expo and other post-ride activities.

Now.

One hundred miles on a bicycle?

I support every single one of you emotionally from a seated position. 😂

But this is a fantastic longstanding Bartow County event supporting a local organization.

🛍️ Cartersville Service League Rummage Sale

📍 Cartersville Civic Center
📅 Friday, September 18 | 9 AM–5 PM
📅 Saturday, September 19 | 8 AM–Noon
💰 Free admission Friday and Saturday

If bargain hunting is your cardio, here you go. 😂

The Cartersville Service League’s annual rummage sale continues through Saturday, and this one isn’t only about finding somebody else’s perfectly good stuff that you suddenly cannot live without.

It’s also one of the organization’s major fundraisers, helping support local children, families, scholarships and community organizations throughout Bartow County.

Shop cheap AND feel good about it.

Dangerous combination.

🎖️ Cartersville ROTC Raider Challenge

📍 Osborne Park — Euharlee
📅 Saturday, September 19
⏰ 8 AM–3 PM

We’re leaving Cartersville for this one.

The Cartersville ROTC Raider Challenge is scheduled Saturday at Osborne Park in Euharlee from 8 AM to 3 PM. The City of Euharlee lists it as both a city and community event.

And I like getting something outside Cartersville into these weekly roundups because, as we have firmly established:

Bartow County does not stop at the Cartersville city limits. 😂

🥾 Guided Hike to the Overlook at Barnsley Resort

📍 Barnsley Resort — Adairsville
📅 Saturday, September 19
⏰ 8 AM

If your preferred Saturday involves fewer crowds and more North Georgia scenery, Barnsley Resort has a guided hike to its scenic Overlook Saturday morning.

The resort describes the hike as brisk and moderately challenging, with a short but steep climb to reach the overlook.

Also happening Friday evening at Barnsley is a Fireside Concert with Miles Landrum from 5–8 PM at the Biergarten.

So there’s your Adairsville-area option.

🔬 Bonus Family Option: Kids Free September at Tellus

📍 Tellus Science Museum — Cartersville
📅 Friday–Sunday
⏰ 10 AM–5 PM

If you need something for the kids, Tellus is running Kids Free September. During the promotion, guests can buy one adult admission and receive one free child admission for ages 3–17; September 19 and 20 are included promotional dates.

Rainy weekend?

Too hot?

Kids bouncing off the walls?

SCIENCE. 😂

So What Are We Doing This Weekend?

You could actually build yourself a pretty fantastic Bartow County Saturday:

Coffee.

Rose Lawn Arts Festival.

Lunch somewhere local.

A little shopping.

Dinner downtown.

Then Guardians of the Jukebox Saturday night.

Or skip all of that, go hike in Adairsville and disappear into the woods.

I support both personalities. 😂

A Front Porch Rachel Thought

This is exactly why I started doing these weekly posts.

It’s easy to live somewhere and fall into the routine of:

Home.

Work.

Grocery store.

Home.

Repeat.

Meanwhile, there are people organizing festivals, concerts, fundraisers, community events and all kinds of things happening practically in our backyard.

So pick something.

Get out.

Support something local.

And maybe discover another little piece of Bartow County you hadn’t experienced before.

I’ll keep doing the digging.

You just have to decide where you’re going. ❤️
